About the Hilllesvåg Tinde base:
Hillesvåg Sølje is a lovely, Norwegain yarn, which is shiny, soft and airy. It's made from pelsull, which comes from the sheep breed called Pelsullsau. Pelsullsau is a cross breed between Swedish Gotland and Spælsau. The wool naturally has both lighter and darker fibres, which gives the color of the yarn an incredible depth.
This kind of wool is especially well known for giving a great look to stranded colorwork and fair isle knitting. It's suitable for hats and mittens, as well as garments such as sweaters or kofter (a full on colorwork norwegian cardigan).
A little note about hand dyed yarn:
Unless the yarn is listed as a "ooak" (one of a kind) the color is repeatable. However, as is always the case with hand dyed yarns, no skeins are exactly like each other and alternating skeins is always recommended.
All yarns are from a smoke-free enviroment with no animals.
